Roger Kipp, Vice President of Marketing and Engineering of McClarin Plastics in Hanover, PA was appointed by Governor Rendell to be a member of the Pennsylvania IRC Strategic Advisory Board.
The Board oversees the seven Industrial Resource Centers (IRCs) of Pennsylvania that were established to help small- and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to respond to changing markets, new technology and the competitive pressures of today’s global economy. Board members include those from industry, labor and government. Mr. Kipp will represent South Central Pennsylvania manufacturers.
Mr. Kipp’s passion, contributions and innovations for the plastics industry began in 1967 at a small family foundry in OH. He seized the opportunity to develop a one-stop source for plastic process tooling by combining pattern making with foundry skills. As the industry evolved, so did Mr. Kipp’s focus. After many years of working with captive forming and molding operations, he pursued an interest in developing new plastic components. During a start up venture he was positioned in sales and marketing generating millions of dollars in new plastic applications. Mr. Kipp joined McClarin Plastics in 1994 and focuses on strategic and functional initiatives to further the company.
Mr. Kipp is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Thermoforming Division Board and served as Chairman in 1996. He serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Plastics Manufacturing Center at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Mr. Kipp is also a MANTEC Board Member.
