MANTEC continues to train the LEAN leaders of South Central PA manufacturers.  For the sixth graduating class, 34 received their certification in 2011 for a total of 215 completing the program.  This was the third year for the LEAN Champion program with three additional graduates. 

 

Learning the LEAN Manufacturing concepts and application methods is the start of a life-long journey. The LEAN Certification Program provides the participants with a well-planned, structured approach to becoming a LEAN leader.  LEAN Champion is designed for those who are charged with leading the LEAN transformation in their organization and have completed the MANTEC LEAN Certification Program.  It takes determination and commitment for a manufacturer to become a LEAN enterprise.

In addition, this was the first graduating class of Six Sigma Green Belt with 6 graduates.  Six Sigma is a process that uses statistical tools and techniques to reduce defects to virtually zero as a means of achieving total customer satisfaction.
