Our programs are designed to assist existing employers and also to attract new employers to our area. Our aim is to assist with job creation and job sustaining projects.

Our agency is the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation. We do business as Cumberland County Economic Development and as the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau. The Cumberland EDC serves as both the authorized economic development agency and the authorized tourism promotion agency, for the County of Cumberland.
The Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center is an economic development organization created to help manufacturers in the Philadelphia region compete and grow. We are part of the National Manufacturing Extension Partnership which primarily supports small and medium-sized manufacturers. We also work with state and local organizations dedicated to business development.
DCED provides funding for the Industrial Resources Centers(like MANTEC) as well as public resources for manufacturers--WEDnet and CJT training dollars, low cost loans and overseas trade support.

The most recently organized of the group and its non-profit development vehicle, DCEDC is a non-profit development corporation poised to partner in real estate development projects and to channel grant funding to municipalities and organizations in need of community and economic development assistance. A major activity of the corporation is the implementation of the Team Pennsylvania program; a state-wide initiative designed to retain and grow existing businesses as well as to attract new ones through a sophisticated internet based business resource network and business calling program. The corporation, which has partnered with the City of Harrisburg in this effort, is a member of SouthCentral Team Pennsylvania, Inc., which also consists of the economic development corporations representing neighboring Cumberland,York, Lebanon, Adams, Franklin and Perry Counties.
The Economic Development Company of Lancaster County (EDC) was founded in 1960 making it the oldest economic development organization in Lancaster County, PA. EDC is a private not-for-profit economic development organization serving businesses within the county, as well as those wishing to relocate here. EDC and its sister organization, EDC Finance Corporation, assist large and small community, business and agricultural development projects with business resources and possible financing assistance. Certified as an Industrial Development Corporation and Area Loan Organization by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, EDC and EDC Finance provide access to federal, state and local business and agricultural funding including loans, grants, tax credits and tax abatements.

The Family Business Center (FBC) was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization. The FBC has enjoyed a decade of success in actively assisting family businesses 'prepare for tomorrow.' Currently, the FBC is one of the largest and oldest family business centers in the nation with members having collective revenues of almost $1 billion and employing almost 10,000 people in south central Pennsylvania. Actively involved members and sponsors have been a key to the Center's success. In addition, the FBC's corporate sponsors - BarleySnyder, Fulton Bank, Glatfelter Insurance Group, McKonly & Asbury, and MANTEC, Inc. - help to set the direction and scope of the FBC's educational programs.
