MANTEC sponsors 2^nd Annual Manufacturing Awareness Poker Run

York, PA, September 19, 2009

MANTEC, Inc., the Industrial Resource Center for South Central Pennsylvania, conducted their 2^nd Annual Manufacturing Awareness Poker Run on September 19, 2009.  A total of 26 participants on 20 motorcycles departed from the MANTEC offices at 227 W. Market St. York, PA on a tour of several manufacturing facilities in the beautiful Cumberland Valley.  This event was held to bring awareness to the manufacturing base in our area and to promote the services of MANTEC.

The participants and MANTEC, Inc would like to thank our hosts, Leonhardt Manufacturing, Inc. in Hanover, PA, Oven Industries in Mechanicsburg, PA and Garrod Hydraulics, Inc. in Manchester, PA for their hospitality.  At each stop the riders were treated to an overview of the business, a brief plant tour and light refreshments.   

The Poker Run concluded at Gifford Pinchot State Park with a BBQ chicken dinner provided by the Dover, PA Lions Club.  Other supporters of the event include Unique Cycle, New Oxford, Battlefield Harley-Davidson, Gettysburg, Riders Edge Yamaha, Gettysburg, Knuckleheads Self-Service Motorcycle Shop, Chambersburg and Hanover Power Sports, Hanover. Prizes, provided by our sponsors, were awarded at the end of the run for the best poker hands.
