At the 2010 Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP)  National Conference, Solar Innovations, Inc. located in Pine Grove, PA and Flinchbaugh Engineering, Inc. located in York, PA  were recognized as finalists for the MEP Manufacturing Awards.  MANTEC nominated both organizations. 

Solar Innovations was nominated for Excellence in Sustainability.  Solar Innovations has implemented green techniques through every aspect of their business and is a model organization for sustainability.  Through simple and effective changes, the internal culture has successfully created a green awareness in all manageable behaviors.  Solar Innovation is striving to achieve carbon neutrality and is working towards 100 percent net zero landfill compliance by 2015 or sooner.  Incorporating sustainability into their core business processes has helped them realize extreme growth, profitability, triple-bottom-line results, hidden revenue, business efficiency and increased market share.
