At the 2010 Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Conference, Doug Keith received the MEP Unsung Hero award.  Doug joined MANTEC in May 2005 as an Administrative Coordinator and quickly assumed increased responsibilities.  In March 2007 he earned a promotion to the position of Financial and Reporting Coordinator.  In the past three years, Doug has taken charge of the yearly client support letter and legislative advocacy campaign, growing the program to 432 letters for 40 legislative offices.  Doug was also integral in developing a set of visually appealing real-time dashboard and trend metric reports that allow management and staff to react quickly.  Based on LEAN Accounting principles, he has created many new processes which have resulted in significant time savings to the whole organization.

The award criterion were having a behind-the-scenes support role where special efforts allowed a center to excel in the eyes of the customer, have enthusiasm and initiative, have a customer-oriented attitude and being consistently be willing to extend a helping hand.  Doug was nominated by John W. Lloyd, President and CEO and Scott Sipe, Director of Finance at MANTEC.
