DEP Awards $863,000 Grant to Promote Continued Growth of State's Recycling Industry

On November 18, 2004 Governor Edward G. Rendell and Environmental Protection Secretary Kathleen A. McGinty awarded a grant in the amount of $863,429 to Penn State University to create the Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center at PSU-Harrisburg. The grant is intended to encourage continued growth and economic health of the Commonwealth's recycling and reuse industry, which currently leads the nation in employment, payroll, and sales.
