Growing your business is not an easy task even during good times.
Now we are faced with more than just down times. We are forced to face uncertainty, a set of circumstances that are unprecedented. It is time to burn your roadmap and your old set of assumptions. Now is the time to reassess your entire business plan. Not rewrite, but reassess.
You may think it is too early to do that. Many experts are counseling us to sit tight and wait this out. I disagree. Having an old plan means having no direction. Having a revised, updated plan, even with some incomplete sentences due to uncertainly, is better than no plan at all.
Remember, a strategic plan, even a great one, isn’t fixed in place. Good leaders regularly review, update, modify, adjust, IMPROVE their strategic plan. That doesn’t mean you need to throw it out and start over. But you do need to look at it critically, objectively, thoughtfully, as difficult as that may seem right now.
This is just the time to ask MANTEC to sit down with you and engage in a dialogue about your strategic plan. As an objective business advisor, we can help you frame the issues and identify priorities that will put you on a constructive path to prosperity.
Please contact your MANTEC district manager or me, Fred Botterbusch, to talk about taking a proactive step toward your new future. I can be reached at 717-843-5054 x251 or fred@mantec.org.
I look forward to working with you.
